The annual Franschhoek Bastille Festival is just around the corner. Taking place over the weekend of 16 and 17 July this French affair promises fun, food and wine aplenty.
As is tradition, the Food & Wine Marquee will be set up against the backdrop of the historic Huguenot Monument—come inside to find our Miss Molly stand!
Do you know the story behind the Miss Molly range?
Anyone who spends any time on Môreson will know that as a farm we’re passionate about four things: wine, food, people and our animals. This love of animals extends beyond just our own and, as a farm, we’ve been supporting various animal-related charities – including The South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind and Animals in Distress – for a number of years. When we developed Miss Molly – a range of wines named after our beloved Weimaraner – we realised that it had the potential to help and (at the same time) increase awareness surrounding the animal-related charities we already support. So bearing this, our love of animals and the fact that Molly has been known to flirt with a Guide-Dog or two (on more than one occasion) in mind we decided that a portion of every bottle (of Miss Molly) sold would be donated to the South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind and Animals in Distress.
And… just for fun. Three ways Miss Molly is just like a French Poodle:
- It’s a very merry dog—just like our bubbles make you feel.
- With its big eyes, and curly locks it’s a rather pretty thing, much like our beautiful MCCs.
- The friendly poodle delights in life. Need we say more?
