The 2010 Môreson Premium Chardonnay and the Môreson Solitaire NV Blanc de Blancs Méthode Cap Classique were both awarded coveted silver medals at the 2012 Chardonnay du Monde competition. This competition, the world's premier Chardonnay competition, presents a line-up of the whose-who in the world of Chardonnay. This year over 900 wines were tasted and only 303 medals were awarded.
These latest awards mean that since 2007 Môreson has received two Chardonnay du Monde gold medals - for our Môreson Premium Chardonnay - in addition to two silver Chardonnay du Monde medals.
In addition over the last three years our Môreson Solitaire NV Blanc de Blancs Méthode Cap Classique has received one bronze Chardonnay du Monde medal and two silver Chardonnay du Monde medals. This makes it the highest ranking Blanc de Blancs Méthode Cap Classique in the world!
These are super achievements and they really confirm Môreson's place as world leader in the Southern Hemisphere production of Chardonnay related wines and cap classiques.
P.S. Given their pedigree and their award-magnet status these wines are an absolute steal at off-the-farm prices. R99 for a bottle of the Solitaire and R145 for the bottle of Premium Chardonnay.
